Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is a television game show format based on posing grade-school level questions to adults, hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. This television show began broadcast on the Fox Broadcasting Company network as a special in the United States and Canada on February 27, 2007, and it grew to be popular enough that a half-hour-long syndicated TV series was developed by the owners.

Without Secrets, is an educational television show broadcast on Israeli Educational Television during the years 1983–1986 and on reruns during the mid-1990s. The show was intended for lower grades of Elementary, seeking to help with their reading. The show was incorporated as an integral part of the school curriculum and was even accompanied by 10 study booklets and 5 enrichment booklets, published by the 'Center for Educational Technology'. The first-of-its-kind educational television broadcasts intended to teach children to read and would visualize to the viewer the process of reading through songs and sketches led by some well-remembered characters such as Gashash Balash and Itonish. The show's hosts Hanny Nahmias, Oshik Levi, Natan Natanzon, and Hanan Goldblat, and several other actors who'd participated on the show such as Shula Hen, Ofra Haza, Galia Isay, and Mati Sari. Plasticine Animation clips, introducing the characters "Alphy" and "Betty", were also featured.

Through engaging short episodes starring the lovable, well-mannered Crawford the Cat, primary school educators are able to reinforce social and healthy habits such as brushing teeth, hand washing, good nutrition and playing well with others. Crawford the Cat provides valuable life lessons for the PreK-2 age group, in a light and fun way.

Fabulous Funnies is a Filmation cartoon series on NBC that ran for one season in 1978; it features animated versions of newspaper comic strips and attempted to teach moral lessons to children.

Standard Deviants TV comprised material from the Standard Deviants home videos, edited into 25-minute episodes that aired on PBS. All of the original 13 episodes were released on home video (at half the price of the full-length videos), as were many subsequent episodes. Hausmeister Krause – Ordnung muss sein is a German sitcom with Tom Gerhardt in the title role, shown from 1999 through 2010 on Sat.1. The series parodies typical German "squareness". Half-day janitor Dieter Krause is the embodiment of the German "square"; he is pernickety, blindly follows order, denounces others, is nosy, consistently puts his own interests above all else, acts subservient to his superiors and is brutish and unjust to those he deemes below him. Many plot elements — mishaps, misunderstandings, and frequent cases of mistaken identity — originate from Boulevard theatre. The characters in the series borrow heavily from those in Tom Gerhardt's film Voll normaaal, in many cases sharing names. In Voll normaaal, Tom Gerhardt played the roles of both Dieter and Tommie Krause; in Hausmeister Krause, Tommie was played by Axel Stein. Daughter Carmen is played by Janine Kunze. Other characters from Voll normaaal, such as Tommie's friend Mario, are relegated to the status of background characters. The scope of action also changed.
